How do I specify multiple starting pages / entry points?

There may be times when, based on the starting page supplied during signup, that no links exist to a specific page or pages within your site. However, you may still wish for these pages to be included in your searchable index.

To address this type of situation, you must specify an additional starting / entry point for the FusionBot crawler to begin indexing.

To configure multiple start pages, enter them as distinct entries in your mini-portal.

For example, if you have a page named "https://www.yoursite.com/hidden/nolinkedpage.html"

You would construct the mini-portal entry as such:

SITE="https://www.yoursite.com/hidden/nolinkedpage.html"

Doing this will allow the FusionBot crawler to find this page, and also any additional pages linked to on your site that may have not been linked elsewhere.

To make mini-portal entries, login to your account, click on the 'Spider' tab, then on the 'Mini-Portal' link. You must rebuild your indexing after making the necessary changes by clicking on the 'Request Spider' link available via the 'Spider' tab.

For our FREE customers, or for those who may be using the mini-portal feature for different purposes, another trick is to embed hidden links into a page that the FusionBot crawler has already found. For tips on using this approach, please click here.
