Can I define a particular search results template to be used depending on the search category selected within my search box?

Silver package and above customers have the ability to create multiple search templates within their account, so that when creating multiple search boxes for use throughout their site(s), each search box can be associated with a specific search results template, allowing the appearance of their search results to take on a specific look and feel, depending on from which search box the search was submitted.

In addition to this functionality, each distinct label (category) defined within any of your search boxes, using the Search Regions Form, can be assigned a template override value. Assigning a template override value instructs FusionBot to utilize an alternate template, when displaying the search results, when a category assigned an alternate template is selected by your visitors. In this manner, rather than using the default template defined for the search box utilized, the alternate template will be used.

To assign an alternate template to a particular search category, use the following name/value pair at the end of your entry:

template=XXX

Where XXX is the 3 character alphanumeric value assigned to the template you wish to use. If you have multiple entries for the same label (category) within your search box, if you wish to assign and alternate template to be used for this category, you only need to place the template=XXX syntax on any one of your labels.

Following is an example of a search regions form assigning alternate templates to specific categories (labels) within your search box:

In this example, the categories PDF Brochures, My FAQs, and Archives will use the default search results template assigned to this search box. However, when the ALL category is selected the search results will be displayed using the "all" template, and when The Web is selected, the search results will be displayed using the "web" template.
