Can I return my visitors to a specific page on my site, rather than to the search results page, when certain keywords or phrases are searched?

Starting with the FusionBot Bronze Package, you have the capability to "auto-redirect" visitors to a specific page on your site when searching for select keywords and / or phrases, using our "Search Results Auto-Redirect" feature.

For example, when searching the FusionBot website for a list of customer examples, we prefer to take our visitors directly to our customer page page. Click the Go button below to see an example of this implementation:

To configure this feature for specific Page URL / Keyword combinations, please login to your account, click on the "Relevance" tab, 'relevance controls' option, then click the link for 'Search Results Auto-Redirect'.

As an alternative, or in conjunction with the functionality described above, you can configure FusionBot to automatically redirect visitors to a page on your site, regardless of the keyword searched, when only a single page matches their query submitted. In this manner, you can improve the efficiency of your visitors search experience by preventing them from having to click on a search result, when the result is the only matching document. To enable the Auto-Jump feature, click the 'Enable Auto-Jump' button in the location described above. Again, this will only apply when the result of a search is a SINGLE MATCHING DOCUMENT.

In addition, when visitors to your website submit a query without entering keywords into the search box, by default, FusionBot will return ALL pages listed within your index. You can override this functionality by specifying a page on your site where FusionBot should redirect your visitors to if no keywords are entered in the search box when submitting a search. This page can contain a custom message, for example, instructing your visitors to enter a valid keyword or phrase in the search box provided.

Utilizing the Search Results Auto-Redirect feature, simply enter the Page URL of the custom page you have created, and in the Keyword / Phrase field of the input form, enter the reserved value FB_NOKEYS.
