Can I limit the total number of pages FusionBot will index within each of my PDF files?

The Maximum PDF Page Depth option enables you to set a limit in terms of the total number of pages FusionBot should include in your index for any one PDF file. The default AND maximum number of pages FusionBot will include in your index for any one PDF file is 100 pages. Please reference the following FAQ for more information.

This default value can be overridden, however, by entering your desired maximum page depth (1 - 99) in the "Maximum PDF Page Depth" field, located by clicking the "Spider" tab, 'index options' option within your FusionBot account.

Despite the fact that your PDF document may be a "single file", FusionBot counts each page within your PDF file towards your total package allowance. Therefore, if you have a large amount of PDF files with multiple pages within each file, you can quickly use up a majority of your available pages while indexing these documents.

Under this scenario, it may be necessary, or desirable, to instruct the FusionBot crawler to only index to a specific depth, in terms of pages, each PDF file on your site. Entering a value from 1 - 99 in the "Maximum PDF Page Depth" field will accomplish this goal.

Note: To DISABLE the indexing of your PDF documents completely, please reference our PDF Indexing FAQ.
